U.S. Sends Aircraft Carrier Through Strait Of Hormuz During Iran Wargames

The US has provocatively sent one of its biggest warships through the Strait of Hormuz amidst Iranian wargames taking place in the region shortly after warning Iran that any closure of the key oil choke point would not be tolerated.“

A US aircraft carrier entered a zone near the Strait of Hormuz being used by the Iranian navy for wargames, an Iranian official said Thursday amid rising tensions over the key oil-transit channel,” reports YNet News.

More Rocket Attacks On Southern Israel

Babies and toddlers asleep for their afternoon naps were rudely awakened and snatched from their beds as the Color Red rocket alert siren blared its warning Thursday for a second time.

Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists in northern Gaza aimed their Qassam rocket attack on Jewish communities in the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council district.

People in the Eshkol Regional Council district were forced to make detours to safe spaces and bomb shelters on their way to work and school earlier in the day as they returned from their Chanukah vacations, when Gaza terrorists launched the first Qassam attack of the day on the region.

IDF Confirms Preparations For Extensive Future Gaza Military Action

Four rockets were fired Wednesday from Gaza into Israel, with two landing in open areas in the Eshkol region and another landing in the Sha'ar Hanegev region

The strike followed a targeted killing in which two sorties by the Israel Air Force killed three terrorists and wounded another nine overnight Tuesday in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip.

The rocket fire comes as the Israel Defense Forces' Gaza Division is preparing for a possible large-scale incursion into the Gaza Strip, now three years after Operation Cast Lead. "We are preparing and in fact are ready for another campaign, which will be varied and different, to renew our deterrence,

Pentagon: Iranian Disruption Of Oil Route "Will Not Be Tolerated"

U.S. military officials warned Wednesday that any attempt by Iran to disrupt oil shipments at the mouth of the Persian Gulf "will not be tolerated," as Iran threatened for the second day in a row to interfere with the critical passageway.

Pentagon spokesman George Little describe the route, the Strait of Hormuz, as an "economic lifeline" vital to stability in the region. He said any attempt to block it would be "problematic."

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Navy's 5th fleet warned Iran against disrupting shipments in the strait, saying the U.S. Navy keeps a "robust presence in the region" and is "ready to counter malevolent actions to ensure freedom of navigation."

Conflict Between Iran And West "The Greatest Danger" of 2012 - Russia's UN Envoy

Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, believes that the conflict looming between Iran and Western countries poses the “greatest danger” in the upcoming year.

Iran’s recent threats to block a vital oil route if the West places sanctions on its oil exports, followed by the US’s sharp response to the threat, have attracted the attention of the international community and raised concerns that the events might push the two nations to the brink of war.

And below, we see what could be the most interesting and germane article in today's news:

Obama Administration Secretly Preparing Options For Aiding The Syrian Opposition

As the violence in Syria spirals out of control, top officials in President Barack Obama's administration are quietly preparing options for how to assist the Syrian opposition, including gaming out the unlikely option of setting up a no-fly zone in Syria and preparing for another major diplomatic initiative.

National Security Council (NSC) has begun an informal, quiet interagency process to create and collect options for aiding the Syrian opposition, two administration officials confirmed to The Cable.

"The interagency is now looking at options for Syria, but it's still at the preliminary stage," one official said. "There are many people in the administration that realize the status quo is unsustainable and there is an internal recognition that existing financial sanctions are not going to bring down the Syrian regime in the near future."

After imposing several rounds of financial sanctions on Syrian regime leaders, the focus is now shifting to assisting the opposition directly. The interagency process is still ongoing and the NSC has tasked State and DOD to present options in the near future, but nothing has been decided, said the officials

We already know what Assad's response will be if and when this type of "intervention" occurs, and if Assad follows through with his promise to send missiles into Israel, we will have officially reached the first "tipping point" in the region.

Stay tuned.

If my bible believing, prophecy studying grandma (who saw the signs in the 1960's and 1970's and really hoped she would be here for the rapture) was still alive now.....wow Scott...just imagine what she would think today! She would probably have her best dress, white gloves and hat on AND her long list of questions she lways wanted to ask Jesus in her hand. How much more can happen? Remember, I switched from mid tribber to pretrib when I came here and studied much deeper. I sure hope you and Paul are right! lol! And frankly, even though it was very dangerous for us to do so, Im proud of us for just crusing on through the straights of Hormuz, sunday driving kinda cruize by. "HI YA'LL, yep don't ya like our big shiny ship? She's a gas guzzler all right!" It wont go down like that much longer but one last time was nice! I'm not sure what we will be allowed to see, but life as we know it is abouto change pretty radically. Its awful to know all this pain and suffering that is about to occur and yet my spirit is soooo excited about Jesus! Maranatha!

And yet, stocks are UP again at the
close......I guess we all NEED to
be patient as usual. Short term
counts indicate maybe another day
of bulling. Above 12, 300 again
on the Dow.

One has to wonder WHY nothing has
happenned yet in the ME ??

Social mood is standing in the way.

BUT stocks will NOT go up forever.

I doubt it.

NO WAY

We are working on a fifth wave here
on the Dow and Transports...

should be soon.

I guess with all these build ups going on in the ME it seems to be taking for ever for that tipping point occur. But in the midst of all the impatience on our part I'm reminded that God will allow the balance to fail at the right time. But also that God is giving everyone everywhere time to repent.
What a merciful God we have that we can be warned before hand as to what's happening.

see I did it right!

That's understandable Gary. Posting here can be a bit of a mission trying to figure out that word that you must get right. Half the time it's hard to tell apart the letters. Then you've got to type in your name. I'm not a typist so it can a pain.
"Wine, complain, gripe". Think I'll go back to work.....!

I had to do that, unfortunately - there was a period of time where we were getting hit by a LOT of spam, and some of it was.....well, links that we didn't need :)

I can usually read the letters, but unfortunately, more often than not, I'm on my iPad and autocorrect takes over. If I catch it before I hit return, all is good, if not, back to square one again . . .and then of course, it retrains my auto correct and makes it less useful because I'm constantly overriding it LOL

Stephen . . .patience. There's been some fascinating economic news this week that's so far, managed to fly below the radars. . .but I think soon, when it sinks into the public's psyche, just what it all means . . .any rally will be short lived.

That's ok Scott, just havin a go at ya mate! Lol

My I-phones the same Robin. If auto correct comes in I just enter another character and when it drops off I back space and it's all good.

Hi Brother Dave, :)
Just thought Id share with you, a post from a Sister from DU, from two years ago. This Sis was on another board, and her handle name was "SydneySpider". The Holy Spirit was all over this sweet Sister with this post (she rarely posted), and her thoughts in words, were so profound to me that I saved them, as a reminder to look back on when we become a wee bit impatient. :)
Quote:
We look around at the escalation of evil in this world and it is vexing to the soul....we long to be removed by the Rapture because it becomes increasingly difficult to live in such a God-less environment.

God won't send His Righteous Judgment on the world until the last possible moment, when the evil has reached its ultimate point of "ripeness". Such is His Mercy and Grace in waiting as long as possible! He would have been justified in starting His Judgment long before now. How amazing is His measure of patience and longsuffering in holding off?

He could have removed His Church before now to protect us from being affected by the increasing evil surrounding us. I have no doubt that it grieves His heart to see the way many Christians have fallen by the wayside and compromised themselves to the world's declining standards....His beloved Church is suffering because it is still here.

But He also knows that the Church is needed here in these dark days so that those who resolve to stay committed to maintaining a Holy walk will shine like little beacons to those who are lost and needing the Gospel. So we remain here for the sake of the unsaved, until the last possible moment.

There is also the added bonus that the committed members of the Church have the opportunity to be refined by the struggles of participating in the inevitable spiritual warfare which happens as a result of taking a Godly stand in an un-Godly world.

But if we ever look around us and wonder why we're still here....I think the answer is mostly for the sake of the lost. It's not about us....it's about them. It's a sobering thought. And if we have to be stuck here for now, we might as well fulfill the purpose for it as much as we can.

However....I'm all for praying that we'll be out of here soon and that the Tribulation can become history so that Jesus can finally reign as KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS!
End Quote:
Amen Sister, AMEN!
