In the news:

Libyan forces kill 84 anti-gov't protesters

Libyan special forces stormed a two-day-old protest encampment in the country's second largest city, clearing the area early Saturday, said witnesses, as a human rights group estimated 84 people have died in the harsh crackdown on days of demonstrations.

Thousands of protesters are calling for the removal Moammar Gadhafi, Libya's leader for the past 42 years, mainly in the cities of the country's impoverished east. Their demonstrations have been brutally suppressed with a combination of armed militias and elite forces.

Protests in Libya, Yemen, Bahrain

The mass protests sweeping the Arab world continued Friday with demonstrations in Yemen, Libya and Bahrain. In the latter two countries thousands took to the streets to mourn protesters killed in clashes with police earlier in the week.

Bahraini leaders have accused the Lebanese terrorist group Hizbullah, a Shi'ite Muslim group, of encouraging riots in their country.

Officials said that Hizbullah flags were found at the Manama rally, along with weapons and ammunition.

Just more evidence that these protests are being co-opted by radical Islam.

Revolutions in Bahrain and Yemen could strike a serious blow to the international war on terrorism. Bahrain has been the Gulf state that most cooperates with the West, while Saleh has cooperated with the United States in the war on Al-Qaeda.

Egypt revolution unfinished, Qaradawi tells Tahrir masses

Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a leading Egyptian Islamic theologian popularized by Al Jazeera, returned to Cairo today to deliver a stirring but overtly political sermon...

The massive turnout and Mr. Qaradawi's warning that the revolution is not complete demonstrate that if the military drags its feet on reform, another uprising could begin.

the turnout was also a reminder that political Islam is likely to play a larger role in Egypt than it has for decades.

The Muslim Brotherhood's sneak attack on America

After a 14-year-old Bangladeshi girl named Hena Begum was forcibly raped, kicking and screaming, by a 40-year-old married man on Sunday, Jan. 30, a Shariah court the next day sentenced her – the rape victim – to receive 100 lashes for having engaged in an illicit "affair." Henna was given no chance to appeal, and the sentence was carried out immediately. After between 70 and 80 lashes, the little girl collapsed into unconsciousness and was taken to the hospital – where she bled to death.

Although it isn't politically correct to discuss things like this, unfortunately it is our current reality. And the above is far from representing an isolated incidence. Welcome to Sharia Law.

Rape victims are frequently flogged and imprisoned under Shariah, as when a Saudi court in early 2009 sentenced a 23-year-old female who had been gang-raped by five men to 100 lashes and a year in jail. Her crime? Accepting a lift from a man who drove her against her will to his house and took turns, with four of his friends, raping her. Same with a 2007 case where the Saudi Justice Ministry sentenced a girl gang-raped by seven men to six months in prison and 200 lashes.

There are too many example of this kind of "law" to cite, but the above examples should be sufficient to gain an understanding of Sharia Law, and exactly what we are dealing with in terms of radical Islam.

This criminally insane behavior, my friends, is Shariah, the barbaric, seventh-century legal system Islamists are hell-bent on imposing on the entire world.

Indeed.

News flash: There is an advanced level of seditious Islamist infiltration and subversion within today's America, including anti-Semitic, jihadist indoctrination and even recruiting in some of our colleges, radical teachings and incitement in the rapidly growing number of mosques and Islamic schools around the nation, jihad recruitment in our prisons thanks to taxpayer-funded radical Muslim chaplains, even subversion within our own government.

And this:

America must finally take its multicultural blinders off and realize that Shariah is evil, and that groups promoting its establishment in America are subversive, anti-American organizations and should be regarded as such.

Bottom line: Islam is inflicting a two-pronged attack on the West. One prong is jihad, intimidation, terror. The other is infiltration, seduction and deception. Both have exactly the same goal – the imposition of Shariah on the United States of America and the rest of the world.

We're Losing the Battle Against Islamism

One positive outcome to draw from Egypt’s crisis is the public’s elevated awareness about the Muslim Brotherhood. It is now clearer to many that the Brotherhood’s members are exploiting our open societies and political system right here in our own communities.

On Dec 4th I attended an interfaith event about which I wrote an article on Pajamas Media, “Where Islamism starts, Interfaith Dialogue Stops.”

At the event, I wanted to share a quote from a document stating the mission of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S: “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within [...].”

In the Q&A last session with Imam Rauf, a question was asked about persecution of Christians in the Middle East. Pastor Yorty responded: “Christian persecution is not a topic I know much about.” If the pastor knows nothing about his fellow Christians (hundreds of thousands of murdered Christians in the past three decades), how can he be trusted on interfaith dialogue between Muslims and Christians?

What I did not anticipate was the eagerness of Jewish and Christian clergy leaders to capitulate to a mostly Muslim audience who believe in a doctrine of Islamic world conquest supported with a dogma which aspires to destroy our way of life, a real threat to our liberties in our Western civilization.

There is more contained within this article, but I've lost my taste for even going through it any more.

Which leads to this:

Can Truth Prevail in a Culture of Spin?

Not these days. Remember - we are living in an age of lies, distortions and deception. This is to be expected (see Matthew 24:11, 24:24, Luke 21:8, Mark 13:5, and 2 Timothy 4:3-4 just to name a few). But it is best characterized here, in this brif but revealing scripture:

"They are the kind who worms their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth." (2 Timothy 3:6-7).

Sounds like a pretty accurate description of these days doesn't it?

The following article pretty much sums up the centrality of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) to the EU's dealings with M.E. countries; note mention of the 7-year ENPI, 2007-2013:

EU states call for rethink of aid to Arab neighbours
18 February 2011, 20:04 CET

(BRUSSELS) - A clutch European nations called on the EU to review its aid policy towards Mediterranean neighbours in light of revolts in Arab nations in order to increasingly tie assistance to human rights.

Cyprus, France, Greece, Malta, Slovenia and Spain released a document proposing a reinforcement of the European Neighbourhood Policy, an EU aid programme for ex-Soviet states and Middle Eastern nations near its borders.

European Union foreign ministers meet on Sunday and Monday to discuss how to overhaul its policy towards its Arab neighbours following pro-reform revolts that ousted the Western-backed rulers of Tunisia and Egypt...

Note: The author of the 7-year ENP(I) was also head of the military arm of the EU, the 10-nation Western European Union (WEU), which now only has an acting head. One wonders what might happen if push comes to shove. Fwiw.

P.S. The 7-year ENP(I) includes an agreement with Israel.

It is absolutely just awful the way the sharia law treated the female VICTIMS of rape!! I have never heard of such. How can any woman support this? I guess maybe they have no choice. But, for this country (usa), surely there are no free females that are for this law and type of treatment..??

These poor woman. And, the 14 yr old girl. Oh, my heart just ached for what she went thru. These are people that have NO sense of right and wrong. Just simply terrible.

We've lost the battle against Islamism in at least one significant way... in our language... that is, the whole "moderate" versus "radical" designations as if Islam is fine and acceptable in a "moderate" form and only bad in a "radical" form... which has been a complete lie from the start. "Radical" Islam actually IS Islam. "Moderate" Islam is not Islam at all, but only a name-only version. -jw

Yep - That is SO true
