In the news...

There are several interesting stories emerging today - all of which are worth following:

Under the heading of "an amazing grasp of the obvious":

"Clinton: Syria's provocations may plunge Middle East into war"

Transfer of weapons to Hezbollah risks throwing region into instability, warns U.S. Secretary of State.

In a speech to the American Jewish Committee in Washington, Clinton said that Syria's transfer of weapons to Hezbollah militants in Lebanon risks throwing the region into instability.

"We have spoken out forcefully about the grave dangers of Syria's transfer of weapons to Hizbollah," Clinton said.

She added: "Transferring weapons to these terrorists - especially longer-range missiles - would pose a serious threat to the security of Israel. It would have a profoundly destabilizing effect on the region.

Under the heading "Turkey continues it's prophetic role - alignment with the terrorist states seeking to destroy Israel":

"Iran, Syria, Turkey Cementing Ties"

Iran made a point of declaring its solidarity with both Syria and Turkey in recent days, on the heels of joint Turkish-Syrian military exercises.

Turkish and Syrian troops conducted three days of joint military drills and exercises last week, in the latest manifestation of the close ties between the two former adversaries.

On Friday, Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi visited Syria’s capital, Damascus, and said that Iran will always remain alongside Syria as the latter prepares to "confront any threat."

Just a few days earlier, Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed the shared interests and concerns of his country and Turkey. He said that both can play important roles not only in safeguarding security in the region, but in “influencing the new world order.”

Under the category of "Iran continues to provoke the world":

"Iran to hold more war games"

In the second military show in less than a month, Iran will hold a new set of maneuvers in the strategic waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, Iranian media reported on Tuesday.

Iran regularly holds such military exercises but they are likely to heighten tensions, coming at a time of a deepening standoff between the West and Tehran over the country's controversial nuclear program.

Under the category of "Lets make Israel disarm, so her enemies can have a free shot at achieving their goal of Israel's complete destruction":

"Bolton: Obama pressuring Israel on nukes"

Former UN ambassador says nuke-free ME proposal is targeted at Israel.

"Egypt and the Obama administration are negotiating right now on an Egyptian proposal for a nuclear weapons free zone in the Middle East, which certainly sounds good," Bolton told Army Radio."Except when you think about it, there is only one country that resolution is targeted at and that is Israel."

"The president is not happy with Israel's nuclear capabilities. I think he would be delighted if Israel gave up its nuclear weapons," Bolton asserted. "The only unknown answer at this point is exactly how much pressure he would exert on Israel to do just that. Part of that pressure is being exerted right now by even considering the possibility of a conference on a nuclear-weapons-free Middle East."

Again, the point with today's news links - is simply to confirm one point: We watch the signs daily, and every day we see a little more progress. Progress towards the battle of Gog-MaGog, as we see the alignment of nations gathering stronger by the day. Progress towards the alignment of nations who are aligned against Israel, now even suggesting that Israel disarm as the vice of her enemies continues to close in. Progress towards terrorist states gaining more strength with the addition of WMDs and increasing rhetoric towards the destruction of Israel.

Every day we see more progress. There are no signs of reversal.

Birth pains - just as Jesus described.
